    Brooklyn Brownstone

    Secret Garden

  • Brownstone Garden

I was asked to create a lush garden that would serve as an oasis for this pre-Civil War Clinton Hill brownstone. The prior owners had long neglected the space and there were significant creative obstacles that had to be overcome before our vision of a “Brooklyn Secret Garden” could be realized.

I was able to utilize several existing features that might have been otherwise overlooked, which ultimately helped to define its uniquely individual character. The finished garden is a welcoming relief to the chaos of the city, while being worthy of this stately 1855 home.
